A magnitude 7.8 earthquake has occurred in Wenchuan area, Sichuan Province on 12th May 2008, with areas nearby experiencing the destructive earthquake and hundreds of aftershocks. At least 19,509 people were killed as on 15th May, and the number of casualties is still increasing. Roads were blocked by the landslide, with numerous buildings buried by the quake. Almost all contacts and power supplies were cut off. Severe damage has been reported in the Wenchuan surrounding area.

People from all over China and the world have showed great mercy and support, offering generous financial and medical aid to victims in the disaster areas.

Dayang reveals her patriotism and concern to those victims in the very beginning. The Party Branch and Labor Union of Dayang have begun collecting donations for the people suffering from this disaster immediately. Dayang President, Yao Wei and all management staff have appealed to all company staff in Dayang’s headquarters and worldwide international offices to pitch in with donations. The donation numbers have been very encouraging and are increasing daily. All donations collected will be sent to the related organizations to help the people recover and rebuild the damaged buildings.
